Do you want to learn how to make $7,000 a month?
Making $7,000 a month may sound out of reach, but it can be possible. In fact, it’s more realistic today than ever before, thanks to online jobs, remote side hustles, and digital businesses. Whether you’re looking for a way to quit your 9-5 job, pay off debt faster, or just bring in extra income, there are options for nearly everyone.
I remember when I was trying to reach my first major income goal. I wasn’t sure how I’d get there, but I started small and stayed consistent. Over time, my income grew beyond what I ever thought was possible. Today, I make much more than $7,000 a month, and I’ve helped thousands of people learn how to do the same.
Best Ways To Make $7,000 a Month
Below are the top ways to make $7,000 a month.
1. Start a blog
Blogging is what changed everything for me. It allowed me to leave my day job, travel full-time, and earn much more than I ever thought possible. I’ve now been blogging for over 10 years, and it’s still one of my favorite ways to earn money online.
And, I’ve been making over $7,000 a month for over 10 years – so it’s been quite consistent for me.
There are many ways to make money blogging, such as:
- Affiliate marketing
- Sponsored posts
- Display ads
- Selling your own product (like a course or a printable, or even something like candles or mugs)
Blogging doesn’t have to cost much to start, either. You can launch your blog today for under $100. If you’re not sure where to begin, I have a free How To Start A Blog course that has helped over 80,000 people get started.

2. Sell a digital product
I think selling printables and digital products is a great way to make money online, and it can be fairly passive too.
This is because you can create a product once (like a budget worksheet, planner, birthday invitation, greeting card, packing list, baby shower game, template, worksheet, or wall art), and then you can sell it over and over again on platforms like Etsy, Shopify, Gumroad, or even your own website.
Some digital product sellers are able to earn thousands of dollars every month, and the startup cost is very low, so it is easy to get started if you don’t have a lot of money.
I have personally been thinking about starting a printables business myself, and I’ve been thinking about it for years. I’m thinking I will start one before this year is over!

3. Start a bookkeeping business
You don’t need to be an accountant to become a bookkeeper. If you’re good with numbers and detail-oriented, this could be a great business to start.
Bookkeepers help small business owners track income and expenses. Most charge $300 to $500+ per client each month.
So, with around 15 clients, you could make $7,000 a month.
There are online courses that walk you through everything, even if you have no prior experience, too. I know a few online bookkeepers, and they all seem to really like what they do.

4. Start a remote cleaning business
With a remote cleaning business, you focus on managing a team and scheduling cleanings, so you don’t need to do any of the cleaning yourself.
There’s a lot of opportunity in this space, especially with Airbnb rentals. Many Airbnb hosts need reliable cleaners, and they’ll gladly pay someone else to manage the work.
I’ve seen people make $5,000 to $10,000+ per month with this kind of business. You can manage everything from your phone or computer, which is nice.

5. Invest in real estate
Real estate investing is a long-time favorite for building wealth, and rental income can help you earn $7,000 a month and even more.
You can start small by:
- House hacking (renting out part of your home like a spare bedroom)
- Buying a small rental or a duplex
- Investing through platforms like Fundrise or REITs

6. Sell print-on-demand products
Print-on-demand is where you create and sell custom designs without actually having any inventory in your home. You create the design that goes on a product, and a third party prints and ships the product.
Some examples include:
- a design that is put on T-shirts
- a quote on a mug
- a picture on a phone case
You can sell through Etsy, Redbubble, or your own Shopify store. With creative designs and good marketing, this can become a great source of income.
I recommend signing up for the How to Make Money with Print-On-Demand free training. In this workshop, you’ll learn how one person made $500,000 in two years selling print-on-demand items, the best types of products to sell to maximize your earnings, and more.

7. Teach something you know
Do you have a skill or experience that others want to learn? Teaching can be a fun and rewarding way to earn money.
You can teach things like:
- Tutoring (math, science, English, etc.)
- Music or art lessons
- Business or marketing skills
- Hobby-related, like how to RV
And more!
I started my own online course nearly 10 years ago, and it was one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made. My courses help me earn a good online income while sharing my knowledge with others. It does take some time to set up, but it’s not bad at all!

8. Become a proofreader or editor
Proofreading is perfect if you love reading and spotting typos, as this is a flexible job you can do from anywhere.
Proofreaders review written content for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors. Bloggers, students, and businesses all need help with this.
I personally have a proofreader, and I have paid for proofreading services for many years now – it’s a service that I find to be extremely helpful and a huge timesaver for my business.

9. Rent out something you own
You can make money by renting out things you already have, like:
This can be a good way to earn passive income. Some people buy RVs or even cars just to rent them out, and they make thousands of dollars each month.
RVshare is one of the best money-making sites because it helps travelers save money by cutting out the middleman and offering RV rentals directly from RV owners. If you have an RV that is sitting around, then you may be able to make $100 to $300+ a day.
10. Freelance writing
If you enjoy writing, freelance writing can be a great way to earn money from home. I know many people who earn an income each month writing blog posts, website content, emails, and more.
What I love about freelance writing is that you don’t need a degree or experience. You can start by:
- Creating a few writing samples
- Finding clients on Upwork or Fiverr
- Pitching businesses directly, such as through email
Over time, you can raise your rates and specialize in a niche, like finance, parenting, health, or tech.

11. Become a virtual assistant
Virtual assistants (VAs) help business owners with tasks like customer service, email management, scheduling, and social media.
VAs usually charge around $20 to $50+ per hour (your rate usually depends on your experience and what kind of tasks you would be doing). With a few regular clients, you can make a full-time income.
Some VAs choose to niche down into specific areas like:
- Pinterest management
- Course creation help
- Email marketing
I have a VA for my business, and she is a lifesaver. I don’t outsource many jobs for my business (I like running a small business that is semi-passive), but a VA helps me so much when it comes to managing all of the different tasks that I like to handle. My VA helps with image creation (like for Pinterest), answering emails, tech support, managing my Facebook groups, and more.

12. Flip items for profit
Flipping is a low-cost side hustle that almost anyone can try. To do this, you find underpriced items, fix them up if needed, and resell them for a profit.
Some popular items to flip include:
- Furniture
- Electronics
- Name-brand clothes
- Sports gear
You can find items to flip at thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, and online marketplaces.
When I first started this blog, I had a small reselling business. I would find items (mainly clothing) and resell them online, such as on eBay. It was a nice and fun little side hustle for me at the time.
You can learn more about this at How I Made $100,000 Selling Used Items.
13. Share affiliate links
Affiliate marketing is how I earn the majority of my income today. With affiliate marketing, you earn a commission for recommending a product or service.
You can share affiliate links in blog posts, emails, social media, and more. I recommend only promoting things you truly use and love, which is easy because almost everything has an affiliate link these days.
If you’re interested in learning more, I have a course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing, that you may be interested in. I have had over 8,000 people take my course over the years, and I update it regularly with my affiliate marketing strategies.
14. Combine multiple income streams
You don’t have to stick to just one idea, and many people earn over $7,000 in monthly income by combining two or more of the options above.
For example, you could:
- Start a blog + sell digital printables
- Freelance write + sell digital products
- Rent out your RV + run an online business
- Make YouTube videos + use a camera to sell photography
Multiple streams of income can make your finances more stable and help you reach your goals faster.
Back when I was trying to make $7,000 a month, I was doing many different side hustles so that I could reach this goal. I was doing things like running a buy/sell clothing business, running my blog, working my day job as a financial analyst, and taking part in market research studies.
Freecash is a site where you can make extra money by testing apps, playing games, and answering surveys. It’s easy to use, and you can cash out your rewards for PayPal cash or gift cards. Personally, I’ve earned over $720 in Amazon gift cards using Freecash, and I think it’s a great way to make extra money during your free time.
