The following is a sponsored partnership with Radius Bank.

Looking for a free checking account?

Lately, I keep hearing from you, my readers, about how hard it is to find a free checking account. Trust me, I’ve noticed!

It seems like many of the big banks are charging monthly costs for a checking account, and you shouldn’t have to pay for that!

So, if you are looking for a new checking account with no monthly fees or minimum balance requirements, then this is the blog post for you.

Radius Hybrid is a free checking account that takes less than 5 minutes to open an account, and you can do it online!

Unlike other checking accounts, Radius Hybrid is a high interest checking account offering a 0.85% APY. That rate is not introductory, so it’s not going to drop down to basically nothing after the first few months. There is no cap on balances that earn the 0.85% APY rate either. Along with that, balances are FDIC-insured up to $250,000.

Radius Hybrid has several benefits, such as:

  • earn 0.85% APY on balances of $2,500 and up
  • no monthly fees
  • unlimited ATM fee rebates
  • mobile payment option (you can use Apply Pay, Android Pay, or Samsung Pay)
  • no minimum balance requirements

To open your account with Radius Hybrid, all you need is $10 or more to fund your account and your Social Security number or Individual Tax ID number to verify your identity.

In addition to the benefits listed above for the Radius Hybrid account, Radius Bank offers several other benefits, such as personal finance management, the Radius Card app, and Radius Pay a Friend.

The Radius Card is a debit card application that is available on both smartphones and tablets. The app will assist you with monitoring and protecting your money and keeping your Radius Bank debit card secure. One of the most unique and convenient features of the app is the ability to turn off your card automatically in case the worse happens, such as losing your card or having it stolen. Now, if you’re like me, I have lost my card and have gotten it stolen as well. The worst thing is trying to call right away, because you probably don’t just keep a copy of your credit card number on you, or the number that you need to call in order to report it lost or stolen. Plus, that can take so long to do as well!

Another major bonus of the Radius Card app is creating spending caps, setting location-based spending restrictions, which will both help you manage your money better. If you need help decreasing your spending amount at a certain place, the feature of setting merchant-based spending restriction will be very beneficial for you. This is just an amazing feature, and it can help you control your spending with an extra little nudge so that you can do better.

PFM, also known as Personal Financial Management, is included with your Radius Hybrid checking account. The PFM tools will assist you in managing your money, making it convenient and easy to stick to your budget. With Personal Financial Management, you can calculate your net worth, create a budget, link to external accounts, and make a plan to pay down your debt.

With Radius Pay a Friend, you can even send money to your friends and family with either their email address or mobile number. You no longer have to worry about paying a friend or family member back the next time you see them. Instead, you can pay them instantly through Radius Pay a Friend.

When you have a checking account like Radius Hybrid, you’ll not only learn how to manage your money better, but you’ll save money, too, with their free features such as no ATM fees and setting location-based spending restrictions.
