Did you know that you can earn money with a Fitbit? Yes, you can! Read this post to learn how you can make money and points by using it how you normally do.Wes recently bought a Fitbit. He has been addicted to it ever since, and he even challenges his dad to daily and weekly step goals. When we were visiting his parents in Mississippi, it got to the point where everyone was just walking around in circles or going on runs in 100 degree heat in order to win, ha!

One day I logged into my Walgreens account to order a prescription refill, and I noticed that we could earn money with a Fitbit.

Due to this, you probably know how happy I was when I found out that he could be earning points just by using the Fitbit. I’m not the type of person to turn down free points, which is essentially money because I would be using the points anyway!

Plus, you can earn points through these apps and programs regardless of where you bought your Fitbit.

No, you won’t get rich from doing this, but if you sign up for one or all of the below, you may be able to earn a decent amount of points each month, just for doing what you are normally doing.

EDIT: Here’s another one that I recently heard of! With Achievemint, you can get paid to use Twitter, Foursquare, MyFitnessPal, and more. They pay you $10 for every 10,000 points you earn.

Here are four ways you could save or earn money with a Fitbit.

Walgreens Balance Rewards

With Walgreens Balance Rewards for healthy choices program, you can earn points at Walgreens simply by using your Fitbit. This allows you to earn money with a Fitbit at Walgreens, because their points are just as good as cash once you are able to redeem them.

I have redeemed points for several purchases, and Walgreens Balance Rewards is probably one of my most favorite rewards programs.

You can receive:

  • 250 points for each new healthy goal you set
  • 20 points for every mile you walk, run, or cycle
  • 20 points per day for testing your blood pressure
  • 250 points for each healthy goal you reach

And more!

You receive $5 for every 5,000 points you earn, and you can redeem up to $50 at one time.

To sign up for this program, all you have to do is go to Walgreens.com and sign up for an account or connect the one you already have. Then, scroll down to “Pharmacy & Health Information” and click on “Balance Rewards for healthy choices.” Click on Health Apps & Devices and find your activity tracker. Follow the directions from there and start earning points!

Dicks Sporting Goods

By connecting your Fitbit to the Dick’s Sporting Goods app, you can earn 3 points per day, if you are able to get a minimum of 10,000 steps in.

You then receive $10 for every 300 points you earn, and you can redeem up to $20 at one time.

Pact

Pact is an app that allows you to “earn cash for living healthy, paid by members who don’t.” This app rewards those who are active and uses cash stakes to keep people motivated with their health goals.

There are three different types of pacts that you can make with this program such as a gym pact, a food log pact, and a veggie pact. With the gym pact, you can sync your Fitbit or other activity tracker.

If you meet your pact, then you get a cash reward for each day committed, which is paid for by those who didn’t make it. Rewards range from $0.30 to $5.00 per week.

Wellness program through your health insurance company

Some health insurance companies are offering points or discounts on items if you are active with your Fitbit. So, you may also want to try contacting your health insurance company to see if they offer anything extra!

It doesn’t hurt to ask, and the worst thing that could happen is that they say no. The best, is that they say yes!

If you’re interested in getting a Fitbit, you can find them here on Amazon. Wes and I both have the Fitbit Charge HR, but I’ve heard that they are all great.

Do you have a Fitbit? Did you know that you may be able to earn money with a Fitbit or points just by using it like you normally do?
