Hey everyone, hope you’re having a great weekend. I can’t believe it’s already September! I’m not going to lie, I’m excited for the Fall, mainly because that means we’re getting closer to Christmas 🙂 And I am a Christmas crazy person.

Not too much planned for this weekend. We’re hoping to do some things around the house. I really want to sand down our dining room table and paint it another color. We’re either thinking a dark brown or maybe just all white and go for a clean and bright look in the dining room. Haven’t decided yet!

My posts (from my blog and others) from this week in case you missed them:

  1. Spending, Life, Income and Food Updates…
  2. Car Buying Mistakes
  3. Saving money with your House
  4. Warning: First-Time Home Buyers Are In For Financial Shock
  5. Should you get an Internship?
  6. 4 Ways You Are Preventing Yourself From Finding a Job
  7. Building an Emergency Fund

Hope you have a great weekend!

Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a great weekend. Lots of birthday festivities going on for me this weekend which means that I’m doing an absurd amount of dancing (ok not really since I love to dance even if I am a bad dancer).

Lots of dog pins this week! Just loving them. We are dog sitting and have three dogs at our house this week (and next week). I LOVE the dog that we are watching. He’s a hound and just so good and cute.

Oh yeah, LESS THAN 1 WEEK OF CLASSES LEFT.

Hey everyone! Hope you all have a great weekend. Between studying, 4th of July parties, BBQs, swimming, homework and everything, I have a very packed weekend.

This past week has consisted of my studying like a mad woman. I have a work test today and I’m hoping I pass. Just one more test after this and then I have my certification! I can’t wait until around 6pm today then I can finally be a little less stressed out.

PS I can’t believe tomorrow is July!

Interesting keywords that led people to my blog:

  1. how excited can i be about my friend’s wedding
  2. will you be my best friend
  3. i make more money than him and i hate him

I hope everyone had a great week! It went by pretty quickly for me. Not too much planned for the weekend besides lots of studying for my work test that I NEED to do. I keep putting this off but I need to stop.

I’m also helping my mother move (no, she’s not moving in with me). She’s giving me a lot of stuff, so I am grateful for that. We are working on our relationship and hopefully it gets better.

Our second roommate is most likely moving in this weekend as well. Hopefully that goes well, the extra money every month sure will be nice to have.

My annual review went great. They still love me (OF COURSE, who couldn’t love me?).  I’ll go into more detail on this sometime next week hopefully! I have many questions to ask you guys but I don’t want to clutter this post too much.

P.S. Doesn’t this look yummy? Shrimp and rice!

The things I loved on Pinterest of course:

Have a good day!

Wow that was a long week! However, I do think this year is flying by. This week was also the first week of my summer classes. My other summer class starts on July 2nd. Can’t wait until I have my Finance MBA in exactly 7 weeks though. I’ll have so much more time.

We started working on my closet this week. We cleaned everything out and we plan on building a bookshelf for some of my heels. I am still a tad upset that I won’t have a whole bedroom for my closet, but the closet that all of my stuff is in now is still a decent size. It just needs to be better organized.

I don’t have too much planned for the weekend. We might go over to the boy’s parent’s house for Father’s Day, but even though my dad passed away 4 years ago, it is still rough and I hate when people ask me questions or anything. So I’m not sure still. His dad has been like a dad to me though, so I would almost feel wrong not going.

Posts I loved this week:

  1. iHeartBudgets talks about saving money by cutting up a whole chicken. I’ve tried doing this before but hacking it apart was just too much for me. Have you done this?
  2. Dollarversity made a post about why you really are failing at budgeting.
  3. Heating and cooling costs vary from house to house, and See Debt Run talked about this.
  4. Modest Money talks about blog commenting etiquette.
  5. My Alternate Life made a post on whether the emergency fund or the wedding fund should be completed first. What do you think?
  6. Good Financial Cents talked about online courses. Have you ever taken one?
  7. My blog BFF (Erika) talked about how no one cares about what you’re wearing. I am often guilty of wearing the same thing days in a row. Hey! I have my favorite clothes 🙂
  8. Daisy mentioned ways to save on alcohol in the summer. What do you do?

I’m ready for the weekend! Not too much going on here. I have a friend coming in town and I’m hanging out with her, going swimming at my friend’s pool, and mostly relaxing.

I still have lots of studying for my work certification test. I haven’t even opened up the books yet. I really need to start this soon.

One of my classes also starts on Tuesday. Not looking forward to that, but the class only meets for 8 weeks thankfully. I’ve only taken summer classes one other semester, so I’m not looking forward to it. AH!

Some link love:

  1. Jen talks about how to manage a bare bones budget. Fearless and Frugal also did one since Jen’s post was so relate-able and inspiring!
  2. Deenadollars got a job! Go congratulate her 🙂
  3. Do you travel so that you can one-up someone? Well Heeled made a post about keeping up with the Joneses’
  4. So Over Debt talked about staying at home to save money. This is something I need to do more!
  5. Add Vodka added up how much she spends on makeup. It all adds up so quickly!
  6. I’ve always wanted to sponsor a child. Mo Money Mo Houses made a post about this.
What are your plans for the weekend?

Hey everyone! I hope you are making it a good weekend. I’m spending my weekend with my friends, the boy, and doing lots of chores around the house.

Yesterday was our 6 year anniversary and we’re going out to eat tonight. I love any reason to dress up so this will do 🙂

One of my friends leaves for an archaeological dig this weekend (where she will work 12 hours a day for 60 days straight, and it’s 11 hours away) and my other friend starts a weekend rehab facility job, so I’m mainly celebrating and having fun with them. I’ll miss my girls but we’ll be able to reunite for Vegas (yes I talk about Vegas too much). Haha even though it is still 2 months away. But I’ll be able to save a lot of money this summer (since I’ll have nothing to do) so that’s one minor good thing.

I also need to study for a work certification test that I have in August (of course it’s right after Vegas). These tests are really hard, so I want to study a couple of hours a day until then.

I had a guest post over at Hannah’s blog, check it out! I should do more beauty posts! I had fun (even though she helped me with the polyvore because I was confused haha).

Some link love:

  1. Bog Of Debt found a wedding dress for less than $50! I think she should make a wedding post soon on her spending 🙂
  2. Erika’s life is about to change a TON. She talks about how to make financial transitions less crazy.
  3. Jefferson at See Debt Run talks about buying a slightly used car. This is what I plan on doing next!
  4. Vanessa got a new job!
  5. Erika at Newlyweds on a Budget talked about the annoying things she does. We are so alike!
  6. TeacHer Finance furnished her place with Craigslist, which reminds me that I need to look for stuff on there as well.
  7. Young Cheap Living talked about receiving a financial windfall.

What are your plans for the weekend?
