Happy Saturday everyone! This week flew by. I hope you all have fun St. Patrick’s Day plans. We have a long list of things to do today. We’re supposed to go to the parade, and then we’re going to go to some bars most likely, then eventually eat and have a St. Paddy’s dinner at the bf’s family’s house. However, I kind of would rather just stay home instead of going to bars at 9am, UGH! I’m just so tired. Hopefully I’ll get over that feeling. I do love St. Patrick’s day!

Posts I’m lovin’:

  1. Erika made a post on volunteering. I wish I had time to volunteer, it will have to wait until the summer time after I graduate though. Between having a full-time career, full-time MBA classes, dogs and a house, I literally feel like I have no time for anything
  2. Check out Serendipity’s Guide to Saving’s Side Income Update.  I know all of you always love reading those!
  3. Bridget thinks just like me, and her goal is to now make more money. Yes there are more things out there that I an cut from our budget, but I like everything that I spend my money on. I’d rather make more money.
  4. Daisy has a long list of things she wants to do when she graduates, it looks like a lot of the same things I want to do!

Interesting search keywords:

  1. Disgusting hair
  2. I like expensive dates
  3. Shopping for cheese

That’s all the interesting search keywords I had. I’m confused…

Hope you all have a great day!

Turning my extra bedroom into a CLOSET

Last Updated: December 8, 2014 BY Michelle Schroeder-Gardner - 8 Comments

I talked to the BF the other day about turning one of our extra bedrooms into a closet.  I have kind of a big closet right now.  It’s in a den right now, but there’s no window in it, and I’d rather have a little sunlight and more room.  Two of our extra bedrooms are just sitting empty (our third extra bedroom is a guest bedroom). I of course don’t want to spend a lot of money, so a lot of stuff will probably have to be made by me.

And he said he’s good with the idea! I want to paint one of the walls striped like below.

And I want a nice chair in there and an ottoman. I plan on putting everything together myself, so it’ll be hard and a lot of work, but it’ll be worth it. I figure I could find closet book shelf type furniture at Lowes or Home Depot and just have a couple rows of that.  And then I want a really big mirror.

Any tips? Do any of you have a big closet that I could grab some ideas from?

Things on Pinterest that I’m loving.

I’m extremely addicted to Pinterest. It’s a problem.  Here’s what I love right now.

I love the snowman idea. It looks easy and very cute. This year, instead of just wrapping presents in boring wrapping paper, I want to make them look really pretty and make the wrapper a present in itself pretty much. I know I’m not getting married, but I just love that dress. And those shoes would be perfect for all the holidays coming up. And last but not least, I love that photo wall.

Because of Pinterest, I have around 100,000,000,000 things that I want to make.  Hopefully I get started soon.

Are you addicted yet?

Also, I don’t know if any of you have ever heard of Heartsy, but they have  a website that is kind of like a Groupon for Etsy shops. It’s pretty cool and they always have cute stuff! I always find myself looking at it.
