Being Thankful $100 Giveaway
Hey everyone! Another giveaway today. I hope you are ready for this one and a couple of others (one giveaway is for $75 to Novica!) that I have lined up 🙂 I’m sure you all love giveaways so I’m sure this is not a problem.
Also, I hope you all haven’t forgotten about my iPad Mini and CASH giveaway either. Check it out!
Today’s giveaway is about being thankful (if you would like to sign up for the next giveaway, please click here).
Even with everything that has happened in my life, I am extremely thankful. I know that I may be a huge complainer at times, but I do believe that my life is turning out nicely.
There are many things that I am thankful for:
My family. Even though my biological family is small, I still consider the boy’s family as my family. I have technically been in their family for over 6 years! My sister and I have also been getting along really well, and this makes me really happy. Before she moved in, we didn’t talk or hang out much. I am of course thankful for the boy too. He is super nice to me and is wonderful.
My dogs. What would I do with my dogs? I love how they jump on me when I get home and are extremely excited all the time.
My friends. Even though I don’t spend a ton of time with my friends lately (we’ve all sadly grown up 🙂 ) I still really appreciate them and love having them in my life.
My job. My job is great. I am extremely thankful for being able to get such a great job right out of college. And I’m also lucky and thankful for still holding the same job.
My house. I am extremely thankful for being able to buy a house at my age. I do need to stop getting ahead of myself and I need to stop dreaming of our next future house. Does anyone else besides me scour real estate advertisements and online sites such as Realtor? AHH hopefully I’m not alone!
My blog. What would I do without my blog? The community that my blog has brought to me and all of the people that I talk to are wonderful. I feel like I have grown a lot since I started my blog as well.
What are you thankful for?
iPad Mini and $100 Cash GIVEAWAY!
Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s finally time for my giveaway. There was no real reason for this giveaway, except for that I wanted to give back to my readers and also because I love arranging giveaways and I love announcing winners!
Anyways, I asked a bunch of bloggers to team together, which is just in time for the expensive holidays that we are approaching. We’re giving away a new iPad Mini 16GB (and $50 towards a case for your new iPad Mini) and $100 in cash!
The Total Value (including taxes) of this giveaway is approximately $510!
The First Place Winner will win the new iPad mini. I have not bought it yet, this is so that the winner can choose the color that they want. The winner will also get $50 in PayPal cash to use towards an iPad Mini case of their choosing.
Runner up prizes: There will be FOUR runner up prizes. Each of these winners will receive $25 in PayPal Cash!

- You don’t need to complete all of the options, but the more you complete, the higher your chance of winning!

Weekly Roundup and Extra Income Update
Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great weekend. This past week went by super fast for me, but I guess that’s what happens when you are super busy.
Also, I hope you all have been loving Jordann‘s staff posts on my blog lately, I know I have!
I have a HUGE $510 value (iPad Mini and cash) giveaway going live this Wednesday, so please make sure you come back on November 7. So many wonderful bloggers donated towards it, thanks!
Since I will be posting my monthly goals post next week, I figured I would eliminate my usual Life, Spending, Food Updates post that I do every week so that you aren’t all super bored. I will be putting some of my updates below though.
Spending: We did really good in this section. The boy needed (well, he wanted) some new gun stuff, so he bought them. He did have a $10 coupon and found some other things on Amazon (and I had $25 saved up in Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks) so we saved a decent amount of money. And that’s pretty much all of our spending for this week.
Crazy huh? Way different than how it usually is.
Extra Monthly Income (this is on top of my salary from my job): This past week (From Monday October 30 until today) I made around $900 from my extra income side hustles. Pretty good to me!
PS here’s another shameless link for you to join Swagbucks using my affiliate code. It’s so easy to use and I just earned another $5 to Amazon.
I hope you guys are liking and learning from my blog tip posts. If you haven’t yet, check out my post on improving your Alexa Rank and my other post on improving your Google Page Rank. I have nothing for you this week, but if you have any blog questions, please ask them in the comments and I will make sure to make it a post for next week.

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone! Enjoy your day!
I have work of course, since I am an adult :), and then I’m going to the boy’s family Halloween party. It will be fun! Lots of good food and wonderful people.
To make this post a little about the financial things of Halloween, tell me how much you spent on Halloween candy, costumes or anything else Halloween related this Halloween. I’m always interested to see what others spend on certain holidays.
Also, I am arranging to have a group giveaway for an iPad Mini and some other prizes. The giveaway would be posted on everyone’s blogs who participate so that everyone can gain extra followers from many different reader groups. If you have any questions (such as what the minimum donation amount would be) or would like to take part in this, please send me an e-mail at senseofcents@gmail.com! Thanks so much. Paypal cash (to go towards the iPad Mini), e-books and gift cards would all definitely be appreciated.
Spending, Life, Income, Food Updates…
Happy Monday! My weekend was good and relaxing, and i didn’t get much done even though I had a lot planned that NEEDED to be done. Oh well. Halloween has definitely taken over my life this past weekend, and I’m loving it!
A lot of you were wondering about my skin problems that I talked about last week. Turns out that nothing was wrong and I was given pills to make the white spots go away. The dermatologist said that it’s not a big deal but it’s extremely hard to get rid of the spots completely, so they will most likely keep coming back. So he gave me extra prescriptions to save me money on visiting him more than once, thankfully!
The Halloween costume that I talked about on Saturday did not work out at all. I obviously have no crafty skills at all.
The boy has a vacation in December. His work told him that he technically doesn’t have to take it (since he won’t get paid from his work), but it’s also one of the slower weeks for him so he most likely won’t sell much during that week. We’re thinking of maybe going snowboarding and skiing in Colorado. I’ve never really done either so we thought it would be a nice trip.
Does anyone know of any good resorts or hotels there? We would like to go to Vail, as long as it’s not too extremely expensive. If we do go, then it would be the week right before Christmas. Not sure if we will drive or take a plane either, as it would cost almost the same.
Let me know if there’s anything we should know about a potential Vail trip! Also, if you’ve ever gone and have a blog post with pictures or tips, then leave the link below please 🙂
My updates:
Spending: We did OKAY on spending this week, but not the greatest. Didn’t spend too much on food and $0 on drinking, but went to the movies (during matinee though so it was only $7.50 per person) and we did surprisingly rent a TON of movies, which still adds up.
Extra Monthly Income (this is on top of my salary from my job): I didn’t really make a lot last week, as compared to recent weeks. I made around $250 last week. And this is exactly why I don’t rely on my extra income, it is not stable! I do of course enjoy it still though.
Also, I’m trying to ramp up my Swagbucks. I haven’t searched using Swagbucks in forever but plan on doing so just for some extra Christmas present money. I have a shameless plug in now and it is for you to join Swagbucks using my affiliate code. I really love Swagbucks and have made over $200 in gift cards just from searching (just like searching on Google) and it’s SUPER easy.
Food: We’ve been doing better definitely. Our goal is to eat in Monday through Friday of this week. I’ll be thinking of a meal plan today and am going to the store after work. If you have any good recipes, please share them in the comments!
Being healthy: No comment… 🙂 I’ll do better TODAY.
