You don’t need to go to a gym in order to learn how to be healthy. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a healthy life either.

Do you want to learn how to be healthy? In this post, you'll learn about healthy eating, healthy living, how to stay healthy, health tips, lifestyle changes, how to be healthy in college, motivation, and more! There’s a myth out there that says you’re only healthy if you go to the gym. Or, that you can only be fit if you have a HUGE house to workout in. And, for some reason, a lot of people think that living in an RV means that you can’t be healthy. That’s just crazy because we have the outdoors to keep us active!

If you’re learning how to be healthy, a gym membership isn’t always the key. And, according to Statistic Brain, there are 58 million people in the US use the gym annually.

With the number of gym memberships there are, you’d think that we would be a country of super healthy people.

Sadly, that’s not the truth, though.

Many people think that learning how to be healthy just means working out at a gym.

Really, it’s more about changing your mindset and changing the way you live, so that you can start living a healthy life.

See, I’ve never been one to go on a diet or to force myself to be healthy. [Read more…]

4 Ways To Earn Money With A Fitbit

Did you know that you can earn money with a Fitbit? Yes, you can! Read this post to learn how you can make money and points by using it how you normally do.Wes recently bought a Fitbit. He has been addicted to it ever since, and he even challenges his dad to daily and weekly step goals. When we were visiting his parents in Mississippi, it got to the point where everyone was just walking around in circles or going on runs in 100 degree heat in order to win, ha!

One day I logged into my Walgreens account to order a prescription refill, and I noticed that we could earn money with a Fitbit.

Due to this, you probably know how happy I was when I found out that he could be earning points just by using the Fitbit. I’m not the type of person to turn down free points, which is essentially money because I would be using the points anyway!

Plus, you can earn points through these apps and programs regardless of where you bought your Fitbit. [Read more…]

Find out the financial benefit sof walking. Do you know about #4?Lately, we have been walking and cycling as much as we can.

This is for many reasons, but the main reason is because we aren’t towing a vehicle behind our RV. Without a car, we have been “forced” to take advantage of the many benefits of walking and cycling.

We have saved money by not having a car with us and we are feeling healthier. Plus, doing everything mostly by walking or cycling has been quite rewarding.

I understand that for many driving a car everywhere may make it more convenient, but in some cases it may also just be a habit that a person is used to.

Getting out and walking to where you want to go may be exactly what you need if you want to save more money, be more active, feel refreshed, and so on.

Below are some of the many financial benefits of walking and/or cycling more. [Read more…]

Interview With My Sister, FITnancialsHello everyone! I hope all of you had a great weekend. I wanted to start off this week with an interview with my sister Alexis. I talk about her blog every month in my monthly income updates, but I’ve never actually dedicated a full article on her website.

Her blog is FITnancials and I helped her start her blog last year. She blogs about healthy living and personal finance.

If you are interested in starting your own, check out my article that will show you the steps to create a blog.

Tell us about yourself.

First off, my name is Alexis and I am in my early twenties.

I used to be around 180 pounds and I was extremely unhealthy. Smoking a pack of cigarettes a day and drinking tons of soda was what my average day of consisted of. You might laugh because I was young, but it still happened.

I never exercised nor believed girls should do anything besides cardio.

One day I had a breakthrough and I realized I needed to get healthier, but the journey there wasn’t easy at all.

March Goals – I’m Having Nightmares About Squirrels

Hello everyone! Happy March. I hope all of you had a great weekend.

February was a great month, BUT…

We still have the squirrels. The gif to the left is how I feel whenever I’m laying in bed and I can hear them.

They are still living in our attic and they haven’t been interested in the pest company’s traps at all. Last week, we even saw a squirrel go all the way into the trap VERY SLOWLY and then he/she inched slowly back out.

It’s been over two weeks since they decided that they want to freeload off of us, and I’m really starting to get afraid that they will have babies in our attic since it’s almost that time for them.

Fun, Frugal, and Free Activities

I’ve never been a super outdoorsy person, until recently. Having fun does not automatically have to mean spending a lot of money and in fact there are many free activities out there. And sadly enough, this is something that I have just recently come to terms with.

My life has changed so much in the past year, and with it comes the activities that I used to enjoy, versus the activities that I enjoy now. Before, I feel like all I did was shop. Ah, I have no idea how I found that fun to do every single day.

Having fun by doing things frugally does not mean that you have to hate your life. Lets please not confuse frugal with cheap. I will not just stay inside and look at a blank wall 24 hours a day just to save money. There are so many things that you can do out there that don’t require much money.

Today’s post will be all about the many frugal and low-cost activities that you can do, including some free summer activities for your family, children, and friends as well. Below are several fun, frugal, and free activities for you to try out. I also have a post dedicated to the many fun and frugal things to do in St. Louis for you to check out if interested.

Cheap Ways to Stay Healthy

Cheap Ways to Stay HealthyI think we can all agree that being financially responsible is important, but is it the only thing we should be concerned about?

Myself, I don’t think so. I’m big on being keeping my financial house in order, but I think that’s second only to staying healthy. Without my health, no amount of money in the world will make me feel good. There are plenty of cheap ways to stay healthy.

That said, I don’t think that the two are mutually exclusive. Some people complain that they can’t get enough exercise without going to the gym, or that vegetables and healthy eating is too expensive, so it’s hard to be healthy on a budget.

To that I say, bull.

I’ve been living on only 45% of my income for the past year, and I can say that with the exception of extreme case (there are always exceptions) it’s entirely possible to be both healthy and frugal. Here are a few ways I manage to stay healthy on a budget.
