Saving money is hard! To have to make a strict budget for what you spend each month, and not buying stuff you feel you need… it can be tough! If only there were ways to save more money without it involving the extra effort of budgeting in everything!
If you are serious about increasing your revenues each month and saving most of it, you have more than enough tricks to learn from this blog already. But here are some tricks that will help you get through the month a bit easier.
1. Have a jar for loose change
This is a trick I use all the time: I have a large jar in my room, one in which I always put any loose change in my pockets. I'm sure many of you are familiar with this trick – but I go one step further, and don't take any of it out of the jar until the end of the month. I sometimes end up with tens of dollars worth of change in it – then I go to my corner shop and I exchange it or spend it. This way I can save without an extra effort. While the amounts are not huge, in the long run they add up to a significant amount.
2. Play the right games
I spend an hour every evening playing blackjack at the Red Flush online casino. I have a fixed amount in my budget for playing every month – not much, of course. I stick to $25 and never go over it. The amount I win I always leave in my Red Flush account for safe keeping. I've seen my name several times at the Red Flush winner's wall, and I hope it will stay there for long. The Red Flush Casino offers me not just the gaming I need after a long day at work, but occasional specials I can redeem to play for longer. It helps me generate a slow, but steady stream (or better said trickle) of cash that I can touch if the need arises. And when the time comes – say, an anniversary, a birthday, or Christmas for that matter – I claim my winnings, empty my Red Flush account – and feel the joy of an infusion of extra cash.
3. Switch to LED lighting
Energy efficiency is maybe the best way to save cash in the long run. I recently changed all my incandescent light bulbs to LED lights. It was a bit of effort at first, but it was worth it: in just a few months my electricity bill has decreased enough to cover the cost of the bulbs, and now they are saving me cash each time I switch them on.
You don't have to make more money to have an extra income at the end of the month – the trick is to save more, and make a habit of it.
