Are you looking for a quick and easy way to make a little extra money each month, but would prefer to do so from the comfort of your home? Check out the list below for 10 ways on how you can make extra money at home.
There are many different avenues for selling online. eBay, Craigslist, Amazon, and more. These sites are great places for you to list items you want to sell, like used clothing, accessories, electronics, books, and so much more. It’s an easy way to make a quick buck.
Have a yard sale.
Another easy way to make some quick cash and declutter your home in the process is to have a yard sale. You can advertise your sale in advance in your local newspaper to increase traffic and sales.
Try babysitting or pet-sitting.
You can either offer to watch a friend’s children or pets in exchange for an agreed upon payment, or you can explore the many agencies out there that hire babysitters or pet-sitters. Either way, babysitting and pet-sitting are fun ways to make a nice chunk of change.
Fill out online surveys.
There are many companies out there that will pay you to take surveys that cover a wide range of topics. Some pay better than others, but it’s easy work for a little extra spending cash each month. It’s one of those jobs you can do from your couch while watching television. Who wouldn’t want that kind of job?
All six of the free online survey companies below are legitimate and can be a great way to earn money. These include American Consumer Opinion, InboxDollars, Swagbucks, Pinecone Research, Pro Opinion, and Harris Poll Online.
Rent out your parking spot.
Maybe your one of the few who have a coveted parking spot at your job. If so, consider renting it out to fellow co-workers for some extra money. It’s easy, and sure to be popular among the poor souls who normally have to park a mile away from the building.
Start a home business.
Do you like to paint or fix computers? How about baking cupcakes? Are you good at styling hair? If you have a hobby that you’re good at, think about starting your own home business. If you’re well known for baking incredible, beautiful cupcakes, maybe you could start selling them. If you’re good with computers, start up a computer repair business. The options are endless!
Sell handmade items.
If you’re crafty, sell your hand made items and crafts on websites like Etsy. Like starting a home business, you’ll be able to do what you love while making money at the same time. It’s a win-win.
Be a tutor.
If you’re good at teaching and you know you’re stuff, maybe consider becoming a tutor. You can choose to offer your services out of your home, or join one of the many agencies out there that hire full or part time tutors. And you can teach whatever you want — music, math, art, reading…whatever you have a passion for, you can teach it.
Rent out your spare room.
Do you have an extra bedroom that you’re not using? Renting it out to a boarder, or even setting it up as a bed and breakfast type gig, can be an easy way to make extra money each month
Be a freelancer.
There are a lot of freelance opportunities out there for people that are good at writing, graphic design, and web development. There are websites upon websites where aspiring freelancers can sign up and search for jobs and clients.
