Hey everyone! I haven’t posted a meal plan in what seems like forever. We have been doing FANTASTIC with our food spending this past week. We ate in 5 days. Yes, I said that FIVE. This might sound stupid to you all, but we are really bad when it comes to eating at home.

I’ve been making a lot of new recipes (which are all super tasty) and I’m loving it. I noticed that a lot of you are on a “No Eating Out November” as I’ve seen on some of your blog posts.

Do any of you have a goal to not eat out this month at all, or maybe even limit your eating out? I know we do! Our goal is to eat in Monday through Friday right now.

Here’s what I plan on making as our main course for each dinner:

  • Monday – Chicken with Tomato Herb Pan Sauce via Chic Darling
  • Tuesday – Chicken Teriyaki (I’ve gotten many rave reviews about my recipe)
  • Wednesday – Steak
  • Thursday – Three Cheese Chicken Penne (but I will use Steak instead)
  • Friday – Smothered Chili Burritos
  • Saturday – Out to Eat
  • Sunday – Out to Eat

What’s on your menu? Share any recipes 🙂

That’s awesome! We tend to eat out twice in the week too and eat in the rest of the days. The chicken teriyaki meal sounds amazing!

I have to make a meal plan today but in thinking tonight I’m making Cajun chicken.

I've done this recipe a million times in my life. It's easy (if I can do it it's easy), great for colder nights, and makes a lot of leftovers. http://evascookbook.wordpress.com/2011/07/07/mine… (use spicier sausage if you want to give it a kick).

It's from Pinterest and some are recipes that others post on their blogs. And you're right, having extras would be nice. We usually just eat everything until we are extremely stuffed haha.

I hadn't heard of the no eating out thing, but we only go out to eat a couple of times a month, and since my birthday is in November, I am clearly going to go out for sushi, even if I do have to limit the kinds I can eat! This week I won't be going out to eat though. Lots of yummy stuff on the menu. I just made this for lunch: http://pinchofyum.com/creamy-thai-sweet-potatoes-…

And I'm using the other half of the cabbage to make a halupki casserole. So delicious! 🙂

We eat out, at most, twice a week due to schedules so all our meals are made at home. It does save on the pocketbook a lot but not if your sig other eats like a garbage disposal! Good luck!

THe chicken teriyaki sounds wonderful, & is that a lemon bar? YUM. Love lemon bars.

We're having lots of pasta this week, but my favorite quick & easy recipe is penne with grilled chicken (we make in big batches & freeze) + pesto (we buy prepared at Costco) tossed together & topped with pine nuts & shaved paremsan.

How do you pick the recipes you use for meal plan? I'm currently in a meal funk and can't seem to think of anything.
