Happy Halloween everyone! Enjoy your day!

I have work of course, since I am an adult :), and then I’m going to the boy’s family Halloween party. It will be fun! Lots of good food and wonderful people.

To make this post a little about the financial things of Halloween, tell me how much you spent on Halloween candy, costumes or anything else Halloween related this Halloween. I’m always interested to see what others spend on certain holidays.

Also, I am arranging to have a group giveaway for an iPad Mini and some other prizes. The giveaway would be posted on everyone’s blogs who participate so that everyone can gain extra followers from many different reader groups.  If you have any questions (such as what the minimum donation amount would be) or would like to take part in this, please send me an e-mail at senseofcents@gmail.com! Thanks so much. Paypal cash (to go towards the iPad Mini), e-books and gift cards would all definitely be appreciated.

We didn't spend a dime on outfits! The grandparents sent us outfits for all of them, which worked out great. The giveaway sounds awesome, I'll reach out to you about it.

I always make my own costumes, so I ended up spending about $40 this year. It's pretty cheap compared to the $80 they want for a slutty nurse costume- ha!

Sounds like one heck of a giveaway! Hope you have fun at the Halloween party 🙂 I prob only spent about 50 bucks this year. We had a party though so some of that was for food and drinks. The rest was makeup for our costumes [the rest was handmade] and candy for the trick or treaters.

Happy Halloween to you to. I have already received some candy this morning. Could be dangerous.

I spent less than ten dollars for candy to hand out tonight and that is it. We don’t get a ton of kids in my neighborhood.

No costume for me this year since we had a birthday party the same day all the Halloween parties were happening. And we need to get candy still, but we don’t get a lot of trick-or-treaters, so we usually only spend $5 or so.

We don't get any trick or treaters at our place, but we did do trunk or treat….spent about $10 on candy, but there were soooo many kids there we ran out! Felt so bad! Then $6.50 on costumes.

We spent $5 on candy since we will get like 5 Trick or Treaters (we will just leave it on the porch in a bowl) and $12 on our little guy's costume and he looks sickeningly cute in it!

Happy Halloween! I spent less than $20 for candy to pass out, $0 for a costume, and around $20 for food/drink for a tiny gathering I'm having at my house tonight to pass out candy.

I spent $0 on costumes and candy this Halloween. We never get trick or treaters although I think we might get the neighbors kids (the only kids on our road) tonight but we have a bunch of candy ready just incase.

I spent $37.00 total this year on Halloween stuff. $24.50 on new window decorations for our party last Saturday (used last year's decorations too), $0 for costumes (went as the king and queen chess pieces from last year), and $12.50 on candy. We just moved and I didn't know how many kids may come tonight…

I'm not doing anything special this year. Probably only going to spend $10 on lunch or something, but that's not even related to Halloween lol. Have fun at the party tonight.

We recycled a Tinkerbelle outfit from a Birthday gift. So I only spent $12 for daughter's dance class party favors, and $15 on pumpkins and carving tools

I spent $0 on Halloween! I hate Halloween! And since I don't have kids I don't feel obligated to be hoe for Trick-or-Treat (if i am home I buy candy, but this year I had plans that day). I also don't decorate for Halloween. Why don't I like this holiday? Because I hate gross things and so many costumes are gross and scary. 🙂 I am always thrilled when November starts and I can focus on Thanksgiving and Christmas, instead.

I spent about $20 for my 3 kids' costumes, and instead of buying candy to pass out this year, we bought Halloween fruit snacks. that way if there are leftovers it's something that we buy our kids anyway (they love fruit snacks) so we won't have wasted money on a bunch of candy that none of us need. Happy Halloween to you!

We were very cheapskate this year. We spent about $15 on candies and $10 for a used Power Ranger costume for the older kid. The younger kid is wearing his brother's old monkey costume 🙂

We spent $2.50 on candy and nothing on costumes. My daughter went as Princess Pea from “The Tale of Despereaux” and used a fancy dress we were given, a crown made of gold pipe cleaners, and a stuffed mouse toy from IKEA with a darning needle for Despereaux.
