As most of you know, I’m trying to work out more. This goal isn’t going the greatest since I’m super lazy. I DID workout 2 times last week though! Better than nothing right?

I am trying to do crunches and other ab stuff every night though since I can do that at home, and this morning, finally my stomach started to hurt.  I obviously was not pushing myself hard enough before.  I don’t really know what I should do in order to push myself harder.  I just hate driving to the gym.  I could just run around my neighborhood, but then of course I feel like I wasted my money at the gym so then I just do nothing instead (that seems logical right? NO!)

Here is the list that I made around 2 weeks ago:

  1. 50 situps a day – Kind of a success.
  2. 50 pushups a day – FAIL
  3. Run 3 miles at least twice a week – Success!
  4. Take my big dog for a loooonnnngg run at least once a week – FAIL (I feel horrible about this also.  I take her for walks, but I don’t take her on enough runs)
  5. Do all sorts of lifting, lunges and the like – FAIL

Does anyone else have a fitness goal? How’s it going?

I do! BF and I are working out at our friend's gym in his condo twice a week. Mine involves running on the treadmill, situps on the yoga ball (so much better for my back), some lunges with weights and some toning for my arms. I also try to go to Yoga at least twice a week during lunch time 🙂 It's working out so far for the gym because BF and his friends are quite the motivation to go (more of a social gathering) haha. The Yoga part..not so much, I try to drag my butt there twice a week. I m trying to lose about 5 pounds to fit back into my bikini…for our Hawaii trip in Dec, it's not a lot.. but the last 5 pounds are the hardest to loose. I think I have slimmed down a bit since my pants a bit looser 🙂

I'm a bit like you, I hit the 'lazy' button a lot. I work bunches, so I don't feel lazy, but I think I have an allergy to exercise. And the only cure is chocolate. 🙂

I'm actually like you, super lazy. So what I did was to combine my commute and working out, by biking to work at least 2 times a week. My commute is 10-15 km each way through the hilly streets of Vancouver. And it only extends my commmute by about 20 min or so to an hour. My goal is to do 50 km a week regardless of weather. And so far, I've accomplished this every week since I started in the summer. I haven't lost a lot of weight, but all the fat has converted to muscle. I'm down about 1-2 inches on my waist already.

Ugh, I haven't been to the gym in a week and a half. My schedule has just been too crazy. Gotta get back into the routine next week!Usually I pack my gym clothes and bring them with me to work, then hit the gym as soon as I get out, because I know if I go home first it's never going to happen. 😉

I may get slapped for this, but my fitness goal is simply to NOT lose weight & eat enough to keep the weight on! :/

I did well on my specific goals (run a 5K, complete 4500 minutes of cardio (in 2011), but then I broke my foot & things have fallen apart a bit. My goal at the moment is to lose the rest of the "baby weight", which is about 3.5 lbs. Ideally, I'd like to lose more, but I can start with that. 🙂

I want to go to yoga but I just don't know if it fits in my budget or schedule right now. Ugh!And Anonymous, I wish I would bike to work, but my town isn't bike, metro, or walk friendly.@Stepanie, I don't know why I never even thought about just bringing my gym clothes with me. Obviously I don't think hard enough!Haha Carla! Although, I'm not trying to lose weight, I want to be more toned and have a nice stomach.

@Carla – I went through that when I was a pre-teen. I was super active and had a high metabolism, so my doctor put me on a milkshake diet. Best diet ever!! Now my weight's at a healthy level and stays pretty stable, so I mostly focus on strength training to stay nice and toned. 🙂
