Made $75 selling a few items, HBO popped up on cable, and made dinner

I went through mt closet last night and found some things that I could part with.  It hurt though, I HATE getting rid of clothes! But I decided that if I hadn’t worn it in 2 years, that it was probably time for it to be gone.  I just brought it to Plato’s Closet and made $75, they took everything I brought in, so that was nice also.

Have you ever tried selling your stuff? How did that work out?

As many of you know, I cut HBO and other movie channels out of my cable package around 1 or 2 months ago.  This has been very hard and me and the BF decided we were going to add it all back.  Surprisingly, we turned on the TV the other day and we had all of the HBO channels and around 30 other channels that we didn’t have before, and we didn’t even pay for it! I hope the cable company keeps making their mistake.  I’m glad I didn’t call the other day.

Last night I made chili and sandwiches.  It was very tasty!

Also take a look at these different grilled cheese ideas. They look good.

I love doing fancy grilled cheese! My favorite is provolone with tomato slices and fresh basil. So yummy. And I need to take a cue from you and sell some clothing. I have about 10 dresses I don't wear anymore sitting in the hall closet, all in perfect shape. There are plenty of second-hand stores in the area that would take them, laziness is my only excuse. 😛

I can sell the kids clothes pretty easily. I never really thought about selling my own. My turn over rate is not as high as theirs. I love fancy grilled cheese sandwiches. I love basil tomato and mozzarella with a little balsamic and my new fave is a jalapeno popper sandwich. It has roasted jalapeno, chevre, apricot preserve and bacon. I know it's sounds a little weird but it is awesome!

That bowl looks and on the grilled cheese thing. I just love cheese. I don't need to add anything fancy to it. Just cheese in bread and I am happy. And you are quite lucky recently, first a 50 and now free channels. Sweet.

I'll have to try the other sandwiches also! And I know Rafiki, I've been lucky. We just realized though that around 50 not-so-great channels popped up on our cable too (they are porn channels). I want to call and have the cable take that off, but I'm afraid that they'll notice that they gave us HBO for free also.

That chili looks yummy! I can't wait for cold weather to pick up here, I haven't felt like cooking a meal in ages so Rambo and I have pretty much been fending for ourselves in the kitchen area.
