I need to make a dessert plate for Thanksgiving

For one of the BF’s and I’s Thanksgiving dinners, we need to only bring one plate, and that is dessert. The BF’s family is probably around 100 people altogether (immediate family, cousins, uncles, aunts, second cousins and etc) and everyone meets on Thanksgiving and it is wonderful.

I come from a very small family (where we have NEVER had a Thanksgiving dinner, except for the immediate family), so I love going to his Thanksgiving dinners.

Anyways, there’s tons of food at this Thanksgiving.  There’s around 15 different kinds of dessert and around 30 HUGE plates/trays of food on the serving table. It’s wonderful!

So on to the question, what should I make for our “dessert”? It can be anything really, as there are so many different desserts to choose from.  Here are my choices:

What do you think? Do you have any other ideas?

Truthfully I think people like small things that they can pile beside the cake and pie on there plates. Individual tarts? Cream puffs? something bite size but yummy. I will hit my recipe books for youJudy

I'm becoming more of a fan of the finger-food dessert. so small cupcakes, or small pies. It's just easier to serve & carry. good luck! that sounds so fun!

(Sorry sorry, but the missing 's' in dessert had me thinking of something like this. That said, cupcakes are never out of style!)I'd definitely go for something like apple pie/tart. Easy, simple, and most people like them. Though since you're serving a lot of people, you could try something like sweet mini empanadas, as seen on this tutorial. They're simple, and as yummy as they look. Plus, you can do a lot with different flavors, so there will be something for everyone to try.

I too vote for smaller. I like trying a few different things when I'm eating buffet style, and a pie is hard to cut and portion for bigger crowds. Cupcakes are cool, as are mini tarts :-) You could also make squares, a couple different kinds, and could even freeze half for another occasion :-)
